A Special Lok Adalat on MACT and Bank Recovery Cases was held today here at district Court Complex Janipur under the Chairmanship of District Legal Service Authority Chairman R.N. Watal (Pr. District & Sessions Judge, Jammu) and supervision of Secretary Maleeka Sharma.

 Two Benches were constituted in the District, focusing on the amicable settlement of MACT Claims, in line with the broader aim of reducing pendency and promoting accessible justice for all.

The Special Lok Adalat stands as a testimony to the commitment of the Legal Services Authorities to ensure that justice is not only delivered, but delivered efficiently, empathetically and economically. It also reinforces the importance of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in strengthening the justice delivery system.

A total of 10 cases were taken up, out of which 8 cases were settled. The total Amount recovered stood at Rs. 2.55 Crore.
