The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the promotion, confirmation and regularization of engineers serving in the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), officials said on Tuesday.
According to an order issued by the Housing and Urban Development Department, sanction has been accorded to the promotion/confirmation/regularization of engineers following recommendations made by the UT-Level Departmental Promotion Committee of Jammu Municipal Corporation.
As per the order, Er. Firdous Ahmad Qazi has been promoted as Executive Engineer with effect from June 30, 2010, and further confirmed/promoted as Superintending Engineer/Joint Commissioner (Works) with effect from July 12, 2024.
Similarly, Er. Janak Singh has been promoted as Executive Engineer with effect from July 12, 2024.
The order was issued by Commissioner/Secretary to Government, Housing and Urban Development Department, Mandeep Kaur (IAS).
