IRS officer Ankit Kaul from Jammu and Kashmir has been appointed Deputy Director in the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on deputation.
Kaul, a 2015-batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Indirect Taxes), has been appointed to the post for a period of four years.
He is an officer of the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination and underwent training at the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN), Faridabad. He holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree.
Prior to his deputation to the NCB, Kaul served in the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, including in the Siliguri GST and Central Excise Zone as Deputy Commissioner
