Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday met the senior office bearers of J&K Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Members of Parliament and its Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) at the party office in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.The Union Home Minister is on a three-day visit to Jammu to review security and development scenarios.

The meeting assumes significance in wake of the fact that the budget session of J&K Legislative Assembly is currently underway witnessing exchange of political fireworks between the treasury and opposition MLAs.

BJP has 29 MLAs in the J&K LA.

Following his meeting, the Union Home Minister on his ëXí handle, posted, ìToday in Jammu, (I) had meetings with the J&K BJP office bearers and the Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assembly.  BJP will continue to work to realise the vision of ìViksit Jammu Kashmir, Surakshit Jammu Kashmirî, while expanding the reach of the organisation and ensuring that the development works of Modiji reach at the grassroots.î

He is understood to have asked the party leaders, particularly legislators to vociferously raise peopleís issues at every platform, including the House.
