Acting on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Jammu Dr Rakesh Minhas and under the supervision of SDM Jammu North Dr Deepak Kumar, the district administration today conducted an anti-encroachment drive in Tehsil Bhalwal to remove illegal structures raised on State land.

During the drive, four shops constructed illegally on State land under Khasra Number 3456, situated in Village Bhalwal, were demolished. The action followed complaints regarding the unauthorised occupation of valuable State land at a prime location.

The demolition was carried out in the presence of Tehsildar Bhalwal Monika Sharma and SHO Gharota Rajesh Verma, along with revenue and police officials who ensured the smooth execution of the operation.

The district administration reiterated its commitment to safeguarding government land from encroachment and warned that strict action will continue against all unauthorised occupations of State land in accordance with the law.
