Sat Sharma, President, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, accompanied by MLA Akhnoor Mohan Lal Bhagat, and other senior leaders of the party, visited the native villages of those who lost their lives in the tragic cloudburst, followed by flashflood at Chashoti village, Kishtwar.
During the visit to Choki Choura and Maira Mandrian in the Chamb Assembly Constituency, Sat Sharma, along with others, met the bereaved families and offered condolences on behalf of the entire Party. DDC Vice-Chairperson Suraj Singh, DDC Members Suresh Sharma and Bhushan Bral, District President Kuldeep Sharma, and other senior BJP leaders, were also present.
Sat Sharma expressed profound grief over the tragedy, stating that the untimely loss of innocent lives in the Kishtwar cloudburst has left families devastated. He said that the entire BJP family stands firmly with the bereaved in this hour of grief and that the loss of public is the loss of BJP. He assured them that every possible support will be extended to help them cope with this irreparable loss. The departed souls will always be remembered, and their families will never be left alone, he added.
Mohan Lal Bhagat, while consoling the families, said that the tragedy has caused unbearable sorrow to many households. He stressed that while they have joined the near and dears of the departed souls in mourning the loss of their loved ones, at the same time they reiterate their commitment to working with the administration to ensure adequate relief and long-term preparedness against such natural calamities.
The BJP leaders prayed for Moksha to the departed souls and strength to the families, and reaffirmed the Party’s resolve to stand beside the victims’ families in every possible way.
