Mr. Joshi chaired a review meeting of the Ministry, in which he assessed the implementation of various schemes and other initiatives. The Union Minister of State for Education, Jayant Chaudhary, also attended the review meeting.
The President directed on Saturday (July 25, 2026) that Mr. Joshi, Cabinet Minister, be assigned the charge of the Ministry of Education, in addition to his existing portfolio, as advised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, an official statement said.
