Northern Railway will introduce temporary changes to passenger entry and exit arrangements at Jammu Tawi Railway Station from September 16 as redevelopment work continues at the station.Under the revised circulation plan, passengers will enter the station through the Platform No. 1 side, which is the old entry point. Passengers completing their journey will exit through the Second Side, also known as the Narwal Side.
The Jammu Division said the temporary arrangement has been put in place to maintain orderly passenger movement and strengthen safety and security while redevelopment work is underway.
An exception has been made for trains arriving at Platform No. 1. In such cases, family members or relatives accompanying passengers to the station will also be permitted to leave through the Platform No. 1 side.
Railway officials said the revised circulation plan is intended to facilitate construction activities while keeping passenger movement functioning smoothly.
Passengers have been advised to follow the directional signs installed at the station to avoid inconvenience.
Northern Railway said the redevelopment is aimed at providing Jammu Tawi Railway Station with modern facilities and urged passengers and visitors to cooperate with the temporary arrangements.
