Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi and presented him with the ‘Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan – 100 Days Campaign’ Coffee Table Book, highlighting the administration’s sustained efforts and public participation in the fight against drug abuse.

According to details available with news agency KNC, during the meeting, LG Sinha briefed Home Minister Amit Shah on the overall situation in Jammu and Kashmir and apprised him of key developments, governance-related matters and ongoing initiatives across the Union Territory.

The Coffee Table Book, designed, curated and published by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), J&K, documents the journey of the 100-day Nasha Mukt J&K campaign and showcases various initiatives undertaken to combat the growing drug menace.

The publication highlights the collective efforts of the J&K administration, government departments, security agencies, civil society organisations, youth and the general public in strengthening the campaign against drug abuse and promoting greater awareness about its harmful consequences.

It also reflects the administration’s emphasis on community participation, awareness programmes, preventive measures and coordinated action aimed at creating a healthier and drug-free Jammu & Kashmir.

The presentation of the publication comes as the Jammu and Kashmir administration continues to intensify its efforts against the drug menace, with a focus on involving communities and particularly the youth in the campaign.

Earlier on Saturday, LG Manoj Sinha had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and presented him with the same Coffee Table Book, showcasing the achievements and collective efforts made under the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan.

The meetings with the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister come amid continued efforts to strengthen the administration’s initiatives for a drug-free J&K and address key issues concerning the Union Territory.
