Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday flagged off the 24th Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pracheen marg pavitra chhadi yatra from the Kol Kandoli temple in the outskirts of Jammu city.
LG Sinha participated in the ‘Pratham Pooja’ of the Chhadi Yatra at the temple in Nagrota, marking the commencement of the spiritual journey. He paid obeisance at the holy temple and prayed for peace, prosperity, and well-being of all.
The lieutenant governor also interacted with the devotees and extended his greetings on the auspicious occasion.
Carrying the sacred holy ‘jyot’, the Chhadi Yatra proceeded along the traditional heritage route to reach the Oli Mata temple in Bamyal.
