 JKPCC Chief Shri Tariq Hameed Karra today chaired an important meeting of senior leaders and party functionaries and DCC Presidents, contesting candidates of Jammu Province for the intensification of statehood movement and party’s Delhi Chalo programme and Protest March in  Jammu and Srinagar to Raj Bhawan.

Karra  emphatically said that statehood is our right and will continue the fight  for it till we get the same. He lashed the BJP and its leadership and said that  they are not committed  to the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir and other important issues.. He also said that  the way a selected authority has put the elected as hostage is the worst example of dual control system and vindicated the congress stand against it and for restoration of complete state.He said congress leaders and workers will gather at Shaheedi Chowk and march towards Raj Bhawan in Srinagar on July 19th  and in  Jammu on July 20th . 

He gave slogans “Chalo Srinagar to Kashmir Congress workers and “Chalo Jammu” to Jammu congress workers.He further said , Congress leaders and workers will go to protest at Jantarmantar in Delhi  on 21st July, it will also be recorded in  history that a demonstration  was held in Delhi to get  statehood  to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
