The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has sanctioned one day Special Casual Leave on May 29, 2026 (Friday) for employees of the Union Territory wishing to observe Eid-ul-Azha.

According to Government Order No. 1012-JK(GAD) of 2026 issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the leave has been granted in connection with the observance of the religious festival across Jammu and Kashmir.  

The order, issued under the signature of Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, M. Raju (IAS), stated that the Special Casual Leave will be applicable to employees who intend to avail the leave on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.  

Copies of the order have been forwarded to all Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Deputy Commissioners and other concerned authorities for necessary action and circulation.
