A consignment of essential relief supplies, sent by BJP Maharashtra under the leadership of its President Ravinder Chavan, reached Jammu today to support families reeling under the impact of the recent floods.
The relief trucks, loaded with everyday essentials and basic household items, were received at Industrial Area Gangyal by J&K BJP President Sat Sharma (CA), which he termed as a strong demonstration of unity and compassion, and said that the consignment, reflects the spirit of “Nation First” in action.
He was joined by party Vice-President Rajeev Charak, General Secretary Baldev Singh Billawaria, MLA Satish Sharma, Treasurer Prabhat Singh Jamwal, Spokesperson Vikram Malhotra, District Akhnoor Prabhari Vinay Gupta, SC Morcha Seh-Prabhari Jagdish Bhagat, and other senior leaders and workers.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma expressed heartfelt thanks to BJP Maharashtra for promptly extending help during this difficult time. He said that the aid will be swiftly dispatched to flood-affected areas so that the families in distress receive timely assistance. He said that the foremost concern is to provide immediate relief to those who have lost their shelter, household belongings, and livelihood. The BJP stands shoulder-to-shoulder with every victim and will ensure that no family feels abandoned in this crisis, he said.
Rajeev Charak underlined that BJP has always prioritized the well-being of people and will continue to channel resources from across the nation until stability and normal life are restored in flood-hit regions of Jammu & Kashmir.
Baldev Singh Billawaria informed that this is the second consignment from Maharashtra in last few days and similar consignments from other states are expected shortly, further boosting the relief operations already underway by BJP cadres and volunteers.
Satish Sharma assured that the distribution process will be carried out with full transparency and accountability and highlighted that the coordinated effort with administration and social organizations is ensuring efficient outreach.
