Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Sujit Kumar, IPS, paid a courtesy call on the Chief Minister at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar on Tuesday, following his recent assumption of charge as the Inspector General of Police, Kashmir.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister welcomed the senior police officer and extended his best wishes to Sujit Kumar for a successful and productive tenure.
The courtesy meeting comes shortly after the IGP Kashmir took charge of the important assignment, which oversees policing and security-related matters across the Kashmir Valley.
The interaction also provided an opportunity for the two sides to exchange views on matters concerning the region and the functioning of the police administration
