In a heartfelt tribute to the armed forces, students from government schools across District Doda have prepared and dispatched 3,000 handmade rakhis to Indian soldiers stationed along the China border in Leh, Ladakh, as part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2025.

This patriotic initiative aimed to convey emotional solidarity, affection and gratitude to the soldiers who safeguard the nation’s frontiers.

Spearheaded by District Development Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh in collaboration with Director School Education Jammu Dr Naseem Javaid Chowdhary, the campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and teaching staff across the district, reflecting a strong spirit of unity and national pride.

The initiative was conducted under the supervision of Chief Education Officer Doda, Mohd Hafiz and coordinated by District Nodal Officer, School Education Department Doda, Umesh Kumar.

A formal ceremony was held at the DC Office Doda, where the rakhis — each representing creativity, patriotism and heartfelt emotion — were presented to the District Development Commissioner. They were subsequently handed over to the Post Office Doda for dispatch to soldiers stationed in Leh.

Speaking at the event, Harvinder Singh stated, “This initiative goes beyond a symbolic gesture. It reflects the deep-rooted patriotic spirit of the youth of Doda. By connecting students with the armed forces, we are nurturing a strong sense of civic duty and national pride.”

The gesture has been appreciated by the local community and education stakeholders for strengthening the emotional bond between civilians and the military. The Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2025 continues to inspire similar expressions of patriotism and cultural unity across the region.
