On the auspicious beginning of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, a grand daily Aarti program was inaugurated at the Suryaputri Tawi Ghat. The initiative has been jointly organized by the Jammu Municipal Corporation, Jammu Smart City Limited, Raghunath Bazaar Corridor Development Council, Department of Tourism, and Department of Information & Public Relations.

On the inaugural day, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Kumar Sinha, graced the occasion and performed the first Aarti, marking the beginning of this spiritually significant event.

The Aarti is now conducted every evening at 7:00 PM at the banks of the sacred Tawi River, with great enthusiasm and participation from various organizations. The program aims to showcase the historical and religious heritage of Jammu & Kashmir to thousands of devotees visiting the city during the Shri Amarnath Ji pilgrimage.

Dr. Devansh Yadav, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation & CEO, Jammu Smart City Limited, urged all residents of Jammu to visit the Ghat with their families, witness the Aarti, and immerse themselves in the spiritual and cultural atmosphere of the city. He emphasized that, similar to the daily Aarti at Haridwar, this initiative aspires to attract devotees and create a vibrant religious experience in Jammu as well.

To further facilitate the pilgrims, bus services have also been arranged by the Jammu Municipal Corporation and Jammu Smart City Limited for devotees of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra to reach the Tawi Ghat conveniently.

The administration calls upon the people of Jammu to actively participate in the daily Aarti, adding to the splendor of the event and welcoming devotees from across the country to experience the spiritual essence of the city.
