Persistent heavy rainfall and continued adverse weather conditions have forced authorities to keep all major religious yatras across Jammu and Kashmir suspended for the Sixth consecutive day on Thursday.
The suspended pilgrimages include the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra, Shiv Khori Yatra, and Machail Mata Yatra.
Officials said the decision has been taken to ensure the safety of pilgrims amid ongoing rain, landslides, flash floods, and cloudburst incidents reported from several parts of the Union Territory.

Meanwhile, the three-day symbolic celebration of Sarthal Mata's birthday concluded peacefully in Kishtwar district.
Due to the prevailing weather conditions, only a symbolic Chhari Yatra was carried out to the holy shrine under the supervision of the Shri Sarthal Devi Ji Trust.
Authorities have advised devotees to avoid travelling towards pilgrimage routes until weather conditions improve and fresh advisories are issued. Restoration of the yatras will depend on road conditions, weather forecasts, and safety assessments by the administration.
