Union Home Minister Amit Shah is visiting Jammu and Kashmir for three days from February 5 to 7 for comprehensive review of security situation, meeting with political leaders and launch of various developments projects.
Official sources told the Excelsior that Shah will reach Jammu at 5 PM on February 5 and will straightway reach the Lok Bhawan where he will meet the political leaders the same evening.
He will visit the International Border at Hiranagar in Kathua district in the morning of February 6 and inspect new gadgetry installed by the BSF for plugging infiltration from across the border. In the afternoon, he will hold high-level review of security situation at the Lok Bhawan here.
On February 7 morning, the Home Minister will leave Jammu for Srinagar where he will launch various development projects for Jammu and Kashmir.
In the afternoon of February 7, Shah will leave Srinagar for Raipur in Chhattisgarh.
This will be Shah’s second high-level review of security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir in less than a month. He assessed the situation at a meeting in New Delhi on January 8. This was followed by visit of Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan and top brass of paramilitary forces to Jammu on January 14 and 15.
