Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Sports Minister Satish Sharma on Wednesday congratulated 223 sportspersons selected for government appointments under the Sports Quota, describing the move as a major step towards recognising sporting excellence and creating career opportunities for athletes in the Union Territory.In a post on X, Sinha congratulated the selected candidates, saying their achievements, dedication and hard work had brought glory to Jammu and Kashmir and the nation. He wished them a bright future and continued success.

Sports Minister Satish Sharma said the appointment orders would be formally handed over to the selected candidates by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. He also expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for supporting and facilitating the recruitment process.
