Jammu:The NSS Day is celebrated by NSS unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Jindrah with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The whole program was organized under the supervision of Dr. Sunil Sharma, Program officer, NSS Unit of GDC Jindrah who was assisted by the whole NSS team and Volunteers. The program was organized in the premises of the college.
The program was initiated with the formal welcome address by Dr. Rajiv Katoch. The chief guest for the occasion was Mr. Dhruv Gupta, Tehsildar, Dansal. The program was proceeded with the anchoring of Chakshu Sharma and Priya Jamwal. The various cultural items were displayed during the celebrations, where the students very beautifully performed different cultural songs and dance items. Dr. Sunil Sharma presented a detailed account of various activities done throughout the session by NSS Unit of GDC Jindrah. He also spoke about the participation and support provided by the various individuals and locals during the organization of different activities throughout the year.
Prof. Rajshree Dhar, principal, GDC Jindrah applauded the continuous and untiring efforts made by the NSS team and Volunteers in organizing multiple events, almost on daily basis throughout the session 2020-21. She congratulated the team and appreciated their remarkable performance throughout the year.

During the celebrations the ten best volunteers Best nss volunteers kiran sharma, ishan sharma, varun kumar raina, reena, preeti, vidushi verma, riya jamwal, himani jamwal atul, jugalwere awarded with certificates by the Principal and the chief guest. The Certificate of Appreciation was also provided to the whole NSS Committee for their active roles in organizing different events in different areas throughout the year for the welfare and upliftment of the locals especially women and children. The program was concluded with the formal vote of thanks, presented by Prof. Ashok Kumar of the college.
