Jammu and Kashmir:Jammu Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress General Secretary Nimrandeep Singh Bhullar conveyed his deep anger on the CUJ VC hell bent to keep youth of UTJK unemployed. In order to bring down the youth of Jammu, VC of CUJ reduced salary along with degradation of profile from Assistant Professors to Guest Faculty which is against the UGC guidelines. The salary was reduced from the Assistant Professor from full scale (70000 approx) to Assistant Professor with consolidated salary (40000) and then further reduced to the profile of Resource person on a maximum salary of 30000. The university doesn't even show any respect for court orders and shows vindictiveness against the employees who moved to law against them. The CUJ administration attempted to stop the course where faculty went to court by stopping Job-oriented Course of BVoc Tourism.
JKPYC warns VC, Central University of Jammu to stop regular discrimination with the youth of Jammu & Kashmir especially in this case with the youth of jammu. Taking cognizance of the issue raised in the report covered by reputed Newspaper Daily, students of CUJ and youth of Jammu regarding the disparity being shown against them by the administration of the Central University of Jammu, Singh drew attention to discuss their stand on the issue.
Singh demands for calling an enquiry against Blue-eyed Nodal Officer, who has deliberately attempted to keep youth of Jammu aloof from the Job opportunities by stopping Bvoc Toursim Course.
Singh said the Central University of Jammu administration in a planned manner is depriving the youth of Jammu of the opportunities of vocational courses which has potential to create own ventures and generate employment in a UT where unemployment is a concern. While other universities like BGSBU and CUK are promoting these job-oriented vocational courses to make their students job-ready and get more opportunities in the future. It becomes very interesting to know that why a course has specifically been removed from Jammu while it is being offered in far off places like Rajouri which receives a miniscule of the portion of tourists which Jammu receives annually.
He further said while UGC has given directions to carry on with the staff engaged and CUJ has issued new order during covid 19 for ceasing the order of contractual employees. Other universities around us are thinking about welfare of their employees and keeping them motivated. Leh University has increased salary of contractual employees, other central universities paying salaries at par with the contratual faculties as per the UGC guidelines .
Not only CUJ administration decreased the salary of employees but also compelled them to sign a affidavit to not to go to court if they want to continue their job and they can be expelled any moment the administration wants them to move out and they will have no right to move to court against CUJ.
