Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta said that upcoming second phase of outreach programme of Union Ministers will help in bridging the gap between Centre and the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.
In a statement issued here on Friday, Kavinder said that over 70 ministers which are going to visit J&K in the 9-week long Public Outreach Programme-II with eight Ministers visiting the Union Territory every week beginning September 10 will have direct interaction with the people, administration and representatives of the Panchayati Raj Institutions. He said that first preference of these ministers will be to resolve the people’s issues on the spot and those which are beyond the scope will be referred to MHA and PMO for early redressal.
The senior BJP leader made it clear that the visiting ministers will ensure that there is no lapse of funds which often acts as a bottleneck in the development process. He said that the upcoming visits of the ministers will also provide an opportunity to the people to have direct interaction with the government representatives and apprise them about the issues and demands in one to one interactions and the same will be addressed by the MHA and PMO after considering the genuineness and the utility of the projections.
The former Deputy Chief Minister said that it is the unique initiative of Government of India led by PM Narendra Modi as no government in the past has given such an opportunity to the people of J&K to highlight their issues before the council of ministers without any middlemen thus giving a lifetime chance to J&K residents. He said that BJP Government is doing everything to get firsthand knowledge of people’s issues and to accomplish this pursuit this initiative will go a long way in satiating the aspirations of the people.
Kavinder Gupta said that both Centre and the UT administration will churn out matters highlighted during the interactions with the ministers and act in a way to ensure no one in the UT remains unsatisfied or disgruntled after his demand reaches the top echelon of power through this communication channel set-up by the help of visiting union ministers.
