Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday said to have busted a terrorist hideout in upper reaches of Bhaderwah in Doda district.
In a statement issued by Doda Police, police said that acting on a specific information about a terrorists hideout, a joint search operation was launched by Doda Police and Army (04 RR) and the searching party busted a hideout in upper reaches (forest area) of Seoz Dhar Bhaderwah.
“The searching party recovered three Chinese Pistols, nine Pistol Magazines and 79 rounds of Pistol from the hideout,” police said.
In this connection, police said that a case under FIR number 123/2023 under relevant sections has been registered in Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation of the case has been started.
Notably, Doda Police in close coordination with Army/CAPF is carrying out joint search operations/area domination/surveillance and close monitoring with special focus in upper reaches/suspicious places so that anti-social/anti-national elements may not succeed in their attempts to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in the district.
Meanwhile Police alongwith security forces arrested a terrorist associate linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT/TRF and recovered 02 hand grenades, cash and other incriminating materials from his possession in Baramulla.
On 10th Oct 2023, acting on a specific input regarding movement of terrorists in Ushkara area of Baramulla, a joint checkpoint was established jointly by Baramulla Police, Army (46RR), MI and 53Bn CRPF in the said area. During checking, a suspicious person who was coming towards the checkpoint tried to flee from the spot after noticing the joint party, but was apprehended tactfully by the alert party.
During his search, 02 hand grenades, cash amounting to ?40K and other incriminating materials were recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Hamid Bhat resident of Ushkara Baramulla linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT/TRF.
