Former Minister and Ex MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) provided financial assistance of Rupees 75000 to the family of a PDD lineman who died while discharging his duty some time back at Gole Gujral, Talab Tillo. The funds were collected by the Gole Gujral Shopkeepers welfare association. The BJP leader was also accompanied by District General Secretary Rajesh Gupta, Mandal President Keshav Chopra, Corporator Ward 32 Sat Pal Karlupia and many others.
The lineman Late Darshan Lal who was working at Talab Tillo was badly injured and succumbed to his injuries while doing his duty.
While speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the officers should ensure that these types of incidents do not occur in future. He called for following a proper procedure and taking all necessary safety measures to avoid such incidents during fixing of snags and carrying other works.He also said that the Modi Government has already undertaken the necessary steps to enhance the power infrastructure by launching several developmental schemes. He also urged the LG Manoj Sinha to start some scheme for the welfare of the families of such employees who die while performing their duty.
President shopkeeper Welfare Association Harvinder Singh Vicky, Harcharan Singh, Arun Dubey, Rajesh Saini, Abhishek Sharma, PK Bhat and many others were also present.
