Police have arrested a Pakistani 'spy' in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district. Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested a person, Kuljeet Kumar, for allegedly spying for the hostile neighbouring country.
Kumar was honey-trapped by a Dubai-based Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agent. Times Now’s Pradeep Dutta reported that the person came in touch with a woman based in Dubai through social media, who was supposed to be an ISI agent. The woman lured Kumar to provide her information about several key security locations.
As per reports, the accused has been taking photos of several key locations and sending them to the Pakistan security officials since 2018. In return, Kumar used to receive huge amount of money from the other side.
Police recovered four mobile phones and several SIM cards from his possession. Notably, the mobiles phones had photographs of several important locations.
Giving details about the arrest of alleged Pakistani spy, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Samba, Rajesh Sharma said, "We have registered a case at the Samba police station under sections of the Enemy Agents' Ordinance Act. Our investigations are currently underway."
HAL employee arrested for spying for Pakistan
The Maharashtra Anti Terrorist Squad arrested an employee of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL) on alleged charges of spying for Pakistan. The HAL employee, who has been accused of working for Pakistan’s spy agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence, allegedly used to supplying information about Indian fighter jets and their manufacturing unit at HAL Nashik.
