Intermittent rain with isolated heavy shower is expected tocontinue in Mumbai today, predicts India Meteorological Department (IMD).Incessant rains for the last four days have brought Mumbai to a standstill onWednesday, hitting rail, road and air traffic.

The city has received the heaviest downpour in a decade onMonday night. At least 23 people were killed after a compound wall collapsed inPimpripada in Malad East. More than 200 flights were cancelled on Tuesday afterthe suspension of operations from main runway in Chhatrapati ShivajiInternational Airport.

In its advisory, Central Water Commission (CWC) warns ofurban flooding in Mumbai due to water-logging and drainage congestion in thecity and the suburbs.
