Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta said that the BJP Government led by PM Narendra Modi is leaving no stone unturned to fulfill the aspirations of the people of J&K by ensuring holistic development and prosperity.
Addressing a gathering after starting development works in different wards of Jammu city, Kavinder said that BJP through its strong credentials has proved today that democracy has fully flourished in India when it gave chance to Narendra Modi, a leader from a humble background to sit on the highest chair of the country.
The former Deputy Chief Minister said that peace and progress is the mission of BJP-led Government at the Centre and the way the development is being carried out sooner than later all the dreams of the people of J&K will be realized without discrimination, prejudice or lopsidedness. He said the revolutionary steps taken by the Modi-led dispensation including abrogation of Article 370 made it possible for the people to avail all the benefits which were readily available to their counterparts in other parts of the country but the same were denied to J&K residents due to short sightedness of political class that ruled the region in the past over 70 years.
Kavinder asserted that BJP-led Government at the Centre will not disappoint any of the countrymen who had reposed faith in the leadership of PM Modi not once but twice. He asked the party cadre to create connect with the masses to strengthen party at grassroots level. He said dispensing information on the public welfare schemes among people is the best way to convince them about bountifulness of BJP as this will make stronghold of the party both in urban as well as rural hamlets.
Earlier, Kavinder Gupta along with Baldev Singh Billawaria, Deputy Mayor Jammu, Councillor Rajkumar (Ward No 51), Councillor Narinder Singh Bunty (Ward No 70), Councillor Sharda Kumari (Ward No 47) and Councillor Anil Kumar (Ward No 68) kick-started development works worth Rs 1.70 crore in the aforesaid four wards of Jammu city
At Ward No 70, the former deputy Chief Minister along with Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria, Councillor Narinder Singh Bunty and prominent residents of the area started development work of an environmental park at Sector –E with an estimated cost of Rs 30 lakhs.
At ward No 51, Kavinder Gupta along with Corporator Rajkumar Tarkhan and Vinay Kumar Gupta former District President initiated development work of a tile work at Mohalla Gujran with an estimated cost of Rs 30 lakhs. On the occasion residents of the area comprising Jagdish Raj Proch(Ward President), Vinod Gupta, Jeewan Singh Charak, Noor Hussain, Nazir Ali, Gul Mohd, Lal Din, Peer Mohd, Alif Din, Khush Mohd, Majid Ali, Abdul Sheen, Abdul Meen, Jhon Hussain, Khan Mohd, Farman Hussain, Mohd Rafiq, Nazir Choudhary, Lal Mohd, Shean, Sarab Din, Mohd Saleem, Shah Mohd, Fareed, Sadiq Ahmed, Sardar Nirmal Singh, Pankaj Sharma, Naresh Sharma, Mirza Baghat, Dinesh Malhotra, Vimal Sharma, Balwinder Kumar and Rakesh Kumar were present.
At Ward No 68, Kavinder Gupta along with Corporator Anil Kumar, party workers and prominent residents of the area started development work at Lane No 55 Greater Kailash with an estimated costs of Rs 40 lakhs.
At Ward No 47, Kavinder Gupta along with Corporator Sharda Kumari kick-started development work worth Rs 70 lac in presence of party workers and prominent citizens of the Ward at Kachha Talab area.
