Sham Langar holds e-Shram cards distribution programme at Narwal Mandi
As part of BJP's 'Samajik Nyay Pakhwada' (fortnight dedicated to social justice) campaign, Sham Lal Langar, Convener, Trade and Industries Cell, BJP, J&K, organized a programme at fruit and vegetable Mandi Narwal here today in which former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta and MP Jugal Kishore were the special guests.
During the programme, Kavinder Gupta and Jugal Kishore in presence of Party’s senior leaders and traders of Fruit Mandi distributed e-Shram cards among labourers.
Former Minister and senior BJP leader, Priya Sethi today said that the e-Shram cards will prove bountiful to the crores of workers presently rendering service in unorganized sectors in the country.
Addressing a gathering after distributing the e-Shram cards, the former deputy Chief Minister asserted that the J&K UT will touch “new heights of achievement” with proper implementation of this scheme as this has so much to offer to the unorganized sector workers. He said that more than nine crore workers and labourers across the country have registered their names on the e Shram Portal.
Member Parliament Jugal Kishore in his address urged all the people associated with unorganized sectors to come forward in maximum numbers and get themselves registered on the e-shram portal to get access to the benefits of various social security and employment base scheme launched by the Government. He also urged the beneficiaries of aforesaid scheme to spread the message across the Union Territory so that no unorganized sector worker is left behind as the Modi government wants that every single worker should avail the benefit of e-Shram and allied schemes.
Sham Langar said that the e-Shram Portal, launched in August, stores a comprehensive database of the country’s unorganised workforce. Those registered will be eligible for Rs 2 lakh coverage for accidental death and permanent disability and Rs 1 lakh for partial disability, he added.
Langar said that PM, Narendra Modi has come up with umpteen public welfare schemes for the poor and underprivileged but the purpose of these schemes can only be served when every single soul will get registered and avail benefits of the same. He asserted that the Modi Government wants that not a single unorganized worker will remain untouched by Government schemes and facilities as the main aim of the Government is to provide succour to the workforce in the country with no prejudice or partiality coming in the way.
