Today a Prachar Rath carrying the message of Jal Jeevan Mission was flaged of by DDC Chairperson Poonch Mrs. Tanzeem Akhtar in the presence of Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Circle Poonch Er. Rajinder K. Sharma, Er. Riaz Ahmad XEN PHE Poonch and official from the Jal Shakti deptt and general public remained present in huge number on the occassion.
The patchar Rath is being Run by ISA society for scheduled and backward hired by the Jal Shakti Department for IEC Activities. The Parchar Rath will create awareness about different components of JJM Water testing, Hygiene and sanitation,Role of pani samitis and water conservation. Parchar Rath will also cover cluster Surankote and Poonch of the Distt.
It is pertinent to mention here that DDC Chairperson lauded the Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Circle Poonch and all the team involved in creating awareness including IEC CORDINATOR Mr.Muzafar Hussain sr. Lecturer and Imtiaz Ahmed Team leader ISA.
Implementation Support Agency(ISA) is the part of the Jal Jeevan Mission a Flagship program of the Govt. for information,education and communication activities with regard to successful implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission program.
Superintending Engineer Er. Rajinder K Sharma addressed the gathering and informed that this Prachar Rath shall travel in the entire Poonch Distt covering all the 178 no of villages during the period of execution of JJM schemes to make aware of the people of Poonch Distt of the JJM SCHEMES launched by the Hon'ble Prime Minister to provide safe drinking water to each household with the slogan of HAR GHAR NAL SE JAL. He further elaborated that out 128 no of the schemes, works on most of the schemes is in progress and every effort is being made by the department to complete the schemes in the Distt by the end of June 2023, the timeline fixed by the Govt.
Superintending Engineer thanked the Hon'ble Chairperson DDC, worthy Distt. Development Commissioner Sh. Inderjeet JKAS (Chairman DJJM) and the Distt. Administration for their support in implementing the JJM in the Distt.
SE also thanked the staff of the deptt and the gathering for making the program successful.
