The Centre Saturday appointed six new Governorsin the states of  Madhya Pradesh, UttarPradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Nagaland and Tripura.

MP Governor Anandiben Patel has been transferred asappointed the new as Governor of UP. Bihar Governor Lal Ji Tandon was also transferred and appointed as theGovernor of Madhya Pradesh. Jagdeep Dhankhar was appointed as the new Governorof West Bengal, replacing Keshari Nath Tripathi. Ramesh Bais has been appointedas the Governor of Tripura, replacing Kaptan Singh Solanki.

Phagu Chauhan has been appointed as the Governor of Biharwhile RN Ravi as Governor of Nagaland, replacing Padmanabha Acharya. The aboveappointments will take effect from the dates they assume charge of theirrespective offices," said a Communique from the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
