In Jammu and Kashmir, amid tight security arrangements, the 13th batch of over 7,300 Amarnath Yatra pilgrims left the Jammu base camp in the early hours today, July 15 for the twin base camps of Baltal and Pahalgam in Kashmir.
A reports that a total of 7,392 pilgrims including 4897 males, 2095 females, 55 Children, 319 Sadhu, and 27 Sadhvi left the Bhagwati Nagar base camp Jammu for Kashmir valley in a cavalcade of 272 vehicles under tight security arrangements today. Among them, 3,368 pilgrims preferred the shortest Baltal track while 4024 opted for the traditional and longest Nunwan-Pahalgam route. With this, 80,118 pilgrims have now departed the Jammu base camp for the Kashmir Valley since the 30th of June.
