 Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh sanction Rs 38 lakh in favour of 52 personnel of Jammu and Kashmir police.

A police spokesman said as a token of appreciation for their services to the department the DGP Singh has sanctioned retirement gift of over Rs 38 lakh in favour of 51 Police personnel of J&K Police who retired from active services today after attaining superannuation or on voluntary retirement.


The police personnel included 40 non gazetted, six lower subordinates, and five followers, he said adding these personnel belong to different units and wings of the department.
Retirement gift of Rs seventy-five thousand each is sanctioned in favour of police personnel from the Contributory Police Welfare Fund at the time of his or her retirement. The gift serves as a token of appreciation for his/her services rendered to the department.As a gesture of welfare, the Police Headquarter (PHQ) has sanctioned over Rs 7.66 crore retirement gift in favour of 1023 police personnel this year so far.
